HOW THE BODY LIGHT SYSTEM WORKS
Special frequency light waves safely penetrate the skin and are absorbed by the fat cells. This light stimulation opens the pores to the fat cells allowing water, glycerol and free fatty acids to move out of the fat cells and into the space between the cells. The fat cells then shrink while the excess water, glycerol and free fatty acids are then safely removed by your body's metabolic process. (See illustration to the right)
The health benefits of light therapy have been known for centuries, recently becoming a powerful weapon in the battle against fat.
Groundbreaking research by Dr. Rodrigo Neira proved that certain light wavelengths initiated lipolysis, a process whereby fat cells open and release their contents. The released fatty acids and triglycerides are then converted into energy, reabsorbed, or filtered out by the liver. This widely cited research proves that light therapy can shrink fat cells without diet or exercise. However, over a period of time, the triglycerides can reabsorb into the fat cell, so for maximum results, it is best to exercise shortly after your Bodylight session.
Bodylight low level light therapy is a noninvasive procedure that is absolutely pain free. The therapy is quick and doesn’t require surgery. Non-thermal, LED light penetrates the skin and energizes fat cell membranes without any discomfort. There are no known side effects to low level light therapy and immediate results are noticeable from the first treatment.
Bodylight low level light therapy is a noninvasive technology that produces quick and painless results at a reasonable price. The benefits of Bodylight are obvious when compared to the following fat loss procedures.
Liposuction is a surgical procedure that permanently removes fat cells. It is invasive, costly and often associated with painful and lengthy recovery periods. Once fat cells have been removed, your body will not regenerate new fat cells. This sounds good in theory but it could actually cause undesirable body contouring results. If you do not continually reduce your fat intake the remaining fat cells throughout your body will have to accommodate for the missing cells resulting in larger fat cells in other parts of your body aside from your belly.
Cryolipolysis, also known as Coolsculpting, is a noninvasive procedure that freezes fat cells for permanent removal. Similar to liposuction, this may eventually cause unwanted body contouring results. While Coolsculpting is considered a noninvasive procedure some patients experience major discomfort and excruciating pain following treatment. The pain has been described anywhere from a “belly full of broken glass” to “uncomfortable and crampy” and may last as long as 4-6 weeks. Normal side effects include redness, bruising, swelling, tenderness to the touch, cramping, itching, tingling, and numbness.
